'Mophead' (2000)

cotton and acrylic

Constructed as part of my "Fiber Tiger" identity, fibers from a mop were unraveled and integraed into a hat. Cotton milling for industrial goods is cruder than for apparel uses, so there are flecks of cotton seeds and empty shells in the mix. What was intended for the floor was redesigned to adorn the head.
