'The Gift Project' (1999)

Public art interactive installation created with the collective Optic Tongue (Meena Satnarain, Reiko Matsuo, Amanda Lyon). 2000 small gift-like packages were distributed around the University of Maryland, Baltimore County campus but were primarily concentrated throughout the library on shelves, inside books, near computers, etc. The contents of the packages contained a small personal object and two subjective texts that dealt with 20th century injustices and subjugations. Funded by the Provost Undergraduate Research Award.
